Tours & Education

Tours

We have 2 aircraft cockpits that you can enter!

We invite groups to book a guided tour, whether it be a school class, a club, or a large family outing. Call or email us for arrangements.

A school tour in progress

A video tour of the hangar, John, our museum President is your guide (note that displays have changed somewhat since this was made)

Education & Activities

We offer various options for school tours. Call or email us to learn more. We also have materials you can download, including a self guided tour guide and activities for school groups or families.

Puzzles & Activities

Fun jigsaw puzzles of our aircraft, vehicles, and more for any age! (thanks to the Hangar Museum in Calgary from whom we borrowed this idea!) Check our puzzles here!

Try this Jeopardy style game based on the museum mission.

High School Teachers!

A high school History teacher on our Education Committee has designed (and tested) some activities related to the BCATP and WWII, you can find them here! If you use these, let us know how it went!

Planning a tour?

Download this handy guide for a self guided tour! The guide includes questions that can be used with school or other groups! (note that this guide, while still useful, does need updating since the revamping of displays and changes in the hangar due to the shoring of the trusses)

Teachers! Are you teaching about flight? Some of these resources might help! A tour of the museum would help supplement your unit as well! Call to book!

Did you know our Education Committee member, Don, a well known Brandon educator, has developed a learning kit that uses the BCATP as a vehicle to address many ELA and other outcomes from MB curricula? It consists of several modules and some exciting activities for learning. While it is still a ‘work in progress’, if you are interested in using the materials, please contact the museum!

We are developing more educational materials, so check back for downloads and more.
